Refund & revisions

Fair revisions. Honest refunds.

You should never feel locked into a result you cannot use. Here is exactly how re-work and refunds are handled.

The pilot

The first engagement is designed to remove your risk. A pilot is offered free or at a fixed fee agreed in advance, precisely so you can judge quality before committing anything larger. If a fixed-fee pilot does not meet the scope we agreed, I will re-work it or refund that pilot fee — your call.

Included revision round

Every paid deliverable includes one round of revision within the originally agreed scope at no extra cost — for example, tightening the focus, reformatting to your template, clarifying notes, or following up on a specific reference. Just send your feedback within 14 days of delivery.

When a refund applies

  • Work not started: if you cancel before I begin, any advance is refunded in full.
  • Work in progress: if you cancel partway, you pay only for the work completed to that point; the balance of any advance is refunded.
  • Delivered but off-scope: if a deliverable genuinely does not match the scope we agreed and a revision round cannot bring it into line, a fair partial or full refund is made depending on the gap.

When a refund does not apply

  • The deliverable met the agreed scope but the findings were not what you hoped — a search that honestly finds strong prior art (or finds none) has still done its job. Search results cannot be guaranteed in your favour.
  • A change of mind about scope after the work is complete (this is handled as a new, separately quoted task).
  • Outcomes that depend on third parties — patent-office decisions, a client's own choices, or actions taken by your counsel.

As explained in the disclaimer, no search can be guaranteed exhaustive, so a refund is tied to whether the agreed scope and effort were delivered — not to the commercial result.

How to raise it

Email hello@ipcare360.com within 14 days of delivery, describe what is off, and I will respond within two working days with a revision, a partial refund, or a full refund as appropriate. I would always rather fix the work than lose your trust.

Refund method and timing

Approved refunds are returned by the original payment method (or a mutually agreed alternative) and are usually processed within 7–10 working days, subject to your payment provider's timelines.

The principle behind all of this: the first job should prove itself, every job should be honest about what it found, and you should never pay for work that did not match what we agreed.

Hand me one real matter. See the work before you commit.

A free or fixed-fee pilot search on a case of your choice — documented strategy log, closest art, your report format. No retainer, no lock-in.
